Kohli is a very senior player in the team. We need not discuss his momentous record. it’s simply remarkable and unmatchable. What Younger Players looking in him? Master Batting skills, Fighting Spirit, Grit & Determination to Perform. Yes it is, but more than that what’s going to make the lasting impression on Young Minds (Team mates, budding players and spectators watching) is Leadership, Sportsmanship, Team Spirit and care for the Juniors. Something Kohli unfortunately missed to learn from Great Gods Like Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Saurav Ganguly etc.

Aggression on ground in game is good when combined with humility in behaviour. Kohli’s ego was exposed in the push to Sam Konstas.

Photo: cricketaddictor.com/cricket-news. Well settled Jaiswal being run out and disappointed.
Kohli refuses single on the last ball of the Over. It was Jaiswal’s Call and he was running towards the danger end. Ideally, Kohli should have responded to him positively. It also affected him mentally, so he was also on the way to Pavilion. At 153/2, looking good, to India was soon sulking at 164/5 in response to Australia’s formidable 474 in first innings. The above conclusion may appear subjective but then Leadership is a subjective matter. How much it will impact cannot be quantified but certainly not desirable.
